(IDF MURDERS)

THE KILLING OF SHEIKH AHMED YASSIN (1932 - 2004)

[The murder of leader for Freedom.]

British Foreign Secretary (Jack Straw) Quote:  "This was a cowardly attack."

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak was asked me he would go to Israel to discuss the peace process, he replied   "What peace process?"

Russia's Foreign Minister Igor Ulanov quoted the attack as "A cowardly attack and a blow to the peace process."

INTRODUCTION
The late Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, 1932 - 2004, was a symbol for more then just Palestinian freedom.  Moments after he left a mosque in the early morning hours in Gaza, an IDF Soldier dropped a 450lb bomb on the car carrying  Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, his body guards and several other men from the Mosque. The attack was made from an American made Apache helicopter and was said to have killed the 68-year wheelchair bound elder instantly.  A nearby cab driver who witnessed the cowardly attack on the elder from close proximately claimed to have seen "body parts flying everywhere."  Moments after the attack and confirmation of his death, thousands of mourners began to flood the streets of Palestine in tears for their spiritual leader and vowing an earthquake of revenge for the cowardly attack. The pain was not only felt in Palestine, but from Egypt, to Syria, to Lebanon, to Turkey, and Iraq, Iran, Indonesia the protests were great.  Angry protestors outraged by the murder of a 68-year old wheel chair bound religious leader prompted American and Israeli flags burned globally. The UN, Britain, Russia, all Arab nations were quick to condemn the attack.  Egyptian leader Mubarak and his parliament members cancelled a commemorative ceremony which was suppose to mark Egypt and Israel's 25th year of the historical peace signing and the possible Gaza Pullout Peace Plan.  When reporters asked the Egyptian leader if he was going to attend the meeting to discuss peace and the road map he said, "What peace plan?"  The United Kingdom Foreign Minister Jack Straw called the attack cowardly, as did many Arab leaders.

A Question was raised upon millions, did the United States authorize this atrocity? The US denies having any prior knowledge of this murder that is surely to spark unrest all over the world and his effectively destroyed any possible peace plan.  It is hard to believe that the US didn't have prior knowledge of this planned killing when the US Deputy of National Defense, Paul Wolfowitz, hold's dual US and Israeli citizenship. Perhaps a case of espionage but another story for sure.

HOW I FELT WHEN I READ THAT HE WAS MURDERED BY THE ISRAELI ARMY

I remember I was sitting on my computer at around Midnight, and I went to Yahoo. COM and read that their was an Israeli Missile Strike on a leader of Hamas. Immediately I knew it would be the elder Yassin or Rantissi, either of the two would surely spark a broader unrest and the cost of thousands more lives. When I read it on Yahoo I immediately turned my TV to CNN and sure enough it was breaking news.  All I can remember feeling is what an awful mistake that Israel made.  I had chills run thru my body when I read that he was murdered by a country that call themselves a democratic nation.

A 68-Year old, in a wheel chair, half deaf and half blind a target for the Israel Military Defense? I thought it was the most sickening thing that happened in the world. It could be because beside my country, is the United States, the nation that uses it's veto power to avoid a resolution on the terrorist state of Israel. I know many Americans and they do not support this racist and awful killings, so why does the government give billions a year to aid Israel in such fashion.  A country I once rode my bike to is supporting a genocide operation on the Palestinian people, approving missile strikes into the house and cars of wheel bound chair elders? I know that I could expect to read that Israel commits murders, as the IDF has killed over 170 children in Gaza since 2000, and Amnesty International says they have killed 2000 unarmed Palestinians since 2000, but the American's supporting such type of sick atrocity is not warming.

How can a country in the year 2004 have a government that is committing Nazi-style actions against Palestinians and spread propaganda attempting to make the Palestinians look like beasts on two legs (As Ariel Sharon quoted Palestinians as Defense Minister)? It is not the Palestinians who are the beasts, it is the IDF and Sharon who is Satan and continues to commit such murders in the most disgusting fashion and get away with it. The International community cannot join in because the United States is backing the genocide.

How much longer will God allow these crimes to continue against the Palestinian people??

The Body of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin

A Palestinian looks at the body of 68-Year Old Wheelchair bound religous leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin. Yassin is placed in a casket shortly after his murder by an IDF and American Made Apache dropped a 400 Pound Bomb on his entourage shortly after leaving a mosque for morning prayers.

Sheikh Ahmed Yassin strolls thru Gaza Neighbourhood.

Conterary to Israeli Propaganda, Yassin was not a militant but a spiritual leader of Hamas. Yassin was also known to be a moderate of Hamas, encouraging peace rather then bombings and offering peace deals which were sharply rejected by Israel. Yassin was known to help poor Palestinians, especially children, financially to the best of his ability. Yassin will be missed by many and remembered by all.

The remains of Sheikh Yassin's wheelchair and perhaps some of his body parts blown up by the IDF are looked at in horror and disgust by young Palestinian children. Yassin was known to help children from poverty.
